Sexual difficulties

Sexual difficulties

Sex is part of life and should be the most natural thing in the world and yet most people will experience sexual difficulties at some point in their lives.

Why does it sometimes go wrong ?

There are many reasons why someone can have a period of difficulty - stress or overwork, medication, pain, depression, injury, child birth, having young children in the home, being in the wrong relationship, or due to a physical reason.

What is meant by a sexual problem?

Anything that is happening, or not happening, in your sex life that is causing you distress because it is not the way that you want it to be.

When faced with this, a range of emotions can occur from minor frustration to severe distress and this can effect sexual functioning, leading to the experience of mild symptoms at one end of the spectrum to very serious difficulties at the other, with all kinds of gradations in between.

Many people find it difficult to know how to tackle sexual problems and so require help.

How does CBP / CBT help ?
