The Therapist
After qualifying as a Registered Mental Health Nurse Jane worked in acute mental health and then in a variety of community settings in primary care, specialising in Depression and Anxiety based conditions.
Although over the preceding years she had undertaken several training courses related to CBT, in 2000 Jane decided that she would like to complete a formal training programme that would lead to a recognised qualification to practice Cognitive and Behavioural Psychotherapy.
Since qualifying, Jane has gained extensive experience in working with complex presentations of the range of conditions for which CBP is indicated.
She is actively involved in supporting the accademic programmes for various institutions including Birmingham University, Coventry University and Wolverhampton University, including the provision of training and supervision for the government directed national IAPT initiative in a range of locations.
